She joined her husband, Raymond Parks, in the NAACP. The National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP), a civil rights organization for ethnic minorities in the united States. She served as the chapters secretary and youth leader. -
She Made a Choice
Rosa Mini Bio As Rosa was going home from work on the bus she was told to give her seat up for a white man. She refused, and was arrested that very day. This sparked the bus boycott. -
The day of her trial starts the boycott
The day of her trial was the first day of the all day bus boycott. The boycott lasted 381 days. She was prepared to sacrafice for justice. Thousands of people walked, car pooled; they refused to ride the bus. In 1956, they suppored the civil rights position and called to an end of segregation on municipal buses! -
