Ronaldo de Assis Moreira (Porto Alegre, Brazil, March 21, 1980), known sportingly as Ronaldinho Gaucho or simply Ronaldinho, is a Brazilian footballer who plays as a midfielder. -
FOOTBALL DEBUT
He made his debut as a professional soccer player at the Gremio de Porto Alegre club, but he developed much of his soccer career in Europe, where he played for Paris Saint-Germain, FC Barcelona and AC Milan.
He became known mainly in the Spanish club. -
BRAZIL'S SELECTION
His debut as an absolute international was on June 26, 1999, in the match Brazil 3-0 Latvia. That same year, the player would participate in the 1999 Copa America where he was champion and a few days later he participated in the 1999 FIFA Confederations Cup, in which he finished as the top scorer. -
GOLDEN BALL
He was singled out by FIFA as the best player in the world after receiving the FIFA World Player award in the 2004 and 2005 seasons. The prestigious French magazine France Football awarded him the Ballon d'Or in 2005. -
IN FLAMENGO
In January 2011, he became the new hire for Flamengo de Rio de Janeiro, earning 5.5 million euros per year. -
END OF HIS CAREER
On January 16, 2018, Ronaldinho officially announced his retirement from professional football at the age of 37, which ended a dynasty of the top exhibitor called Jogo Bonito. He retired as the only player in history capable of winning the World Cup, UEFA Champions League, Copa Libertadores and Ballon d'Or. -
