Little Rock Nine
In Litle Rock Arkansas the first attempt at desegregation in schools is attemeped.The Governor of Arkansas blocked the entrance to the school so the nine black students could not enter. Eventually President Eisenhower called in the 101st Airborne to escort the students safely around the school. -
