This was an important because the colosseum is an important influential architectural building to this day. Its style has influenced many buildings today, and progressed our understanding of architecture all together. -

In history, this battle was known as the Battle of the Allia. Which was the first Gallic invasion of Rome. Although Rome as twice as many men fighting, they where defeated and taken over by the Gauls. This was imporant because it is said to be the end of the Roman empire
