    When they grew up they were adopted by a shepherd. Finally, when Romulus and Remus grew more independent, they decided to build a city on the Tiber River. Romulus and Remus got in big fight on who would rule the city. At the end Romulus killed Remus. He then became a king of the city, and called the city Rome.

    “Founding of Rome” illustrates the legend of Romulus and Remus and told us how Rome came to be. The story began when there was a princess. She was forbidden have children but at the end she did with Mars(The God of War). She had two children named Romulus and Remus. The Gods were in rage at her. The princess scared of what they might do to her child puts them in a basket and leaves them in in the Tiber River. The two twins were left alone until a curious she wolf decided to adopt them.

    “The Etruscans Daily Life” illustrates their geography, and daily life. The Etruscans lived in the western part of Italy and ruled Rome. They harvested their own crops, built houses and their own villages . They used many tools to harvest crops. Iron tools were used more than other tools. They dug out from the ground: gold, cooper, iron and other minerals. They liked to play sport and dancing. Women in Etruria had many more right than women in Greece.

The Etruscans were divided in three classes: the upper class (wealthy, landowner, and priests), the middle class (farmers, mercants, city workers), and the lower class (enslaved people).

The soothsayers controlled the spiritual part of the city. They even decided the boundaries of the city. Etruscans believed in after life.

When a noble person died a huge banquet was held to honor his/her death and to welcome them to afterlife. If the noble’s slave was dead to it was said that he would help his master even in death.

    Etruscans had many religious ritual. One of these rituals was that every year, a priest would raise a rock that Etruscans thought would be the gate of the underworld. The Romans adopted this ritual but changed it and made to streets and when these to streets met that would be the connection with the two worlds. This place was called mundus. I can infer that Etruscans passed on not only rituals but beliefs and the courage of death.
