The Boston Massacre
Many colonists were fed up with the king's illegal actions against them. So, they yelled at Redcoats and threw snowballs filled with rocks. The Redcoats then fired at the angry mob and killed 5 colonists.

Boston Tea Party
Many patriots and The Sons of Liberty snuck aboard a merchant ship and threw all the tea overboard to protest against taxes.

The Battle o' Lexington & Concord
Paul Revere rode into town telling everyone: "The British are coming!"
The Minutemen and Redcoats lined up at Lexington. Then, out of nowhere came a shot that was so momentous it could be heard clear around the world. This caused the British to fire on the Minutemen.
Then at Concord, the colonists ambushed the British, forcing them to retreat. As their enemy retreated, the colonists used the hit, run,and hide tactic all the way to Boston.

The Battle of Bunker Hill
The colonists decided to build a fort on Breed's Hill instead of Bunker Hill. Then once the battle started, the British atacked in waves but each time were pushed back. The British took heavy casualties. Victory looked certain for the patriots, but then all of their ammo ran out and they were forced to retreat. Though it was a British victory, they were tired and battered.

The Winter at Valley Forge & The Battle of Trenton
Due to a recent defeat the Americans were stuck at Valley Forge for the winter. While there they experienced small pox, a deadly disease. It was cured for the men since General Washington met with the doctors and explained how he survived it in childhood.
They also received new training.
They were ready to infiltrateTrenton, which was ocuppied by German mercenaries. General Washington's men crossed the Delaware and entered Trenton. After a fire fight, the colonists defeated the mercenaries. -

The Battle o' Yorktown
The Battle o' Yorktown was a turning point for the Americans. The British charged, were shot, retreated,and charged again. After days of cannons flashing and musket fire the British surrendered. Though it was the middle of the war, the future looked bright for the Americans.
