Robert is Awarded Pultizer Prize for the poem "A WInter Tree" becoming the first person to recive a prize four times. Accepts appointment at Dartmouth College as George Ticknor Fellow in humanities, with $2,500 stipend and $500 in expenses. Hospitalized in December with serious case of pneumonia.
