    Fredonian Rebellion

    There was a controversy between the Mexican government and the Edward brothers. Stephen F. Austin joined the rebellion. In December 1826, they flew a new flag over the old stone in Nacogdoches. Austin would not help the Edward brothers and would join mexico to push them out . Anglo American could not be trusted to hold a colonization even though Austin was loyal to mexico. Haden Edwards won the fredonian rebellion.

    Turtle Bayou Resolutions
    Complained about unfair taxes,pledged loyalty to the Mexican Constitution of 1824, supported Antonio Lopez de Santa Anna. Santa Anna was supported by the turtle bayou resolutions. Santa Anna promised to uphold the constitution of 1824.

    The battle was the result of the attempts of the Mexican government to retrieve a small canon that had been given in a1831 to the settlers at Gonzalez as a defense against attacks by Tonkawa Indians. The Texas created a banner with a crude drawing of the disputed cannon and words "COME AND TAKE IT".

    I 1830, the central government in Mexico sent Mier y Teran to Texas on a fact finding Mission. Teran was to determine how much a threat Anglos were to Mexican rule and to make suggestions of saving Texas lands. Anglos outnumbered Mexicans to 10 to 1. Terans report : if the Mexican government did not act quickly , they would lose the territory of the united states .

    Siege at the alamo

    George Collinsworth and Benjamin Milam were the commanders of the Alamo. Mexicans had more troops. The siege lasted 13 days . Joan Sequin served as a scout during the siege of the Alamo. Susannah Dickinson managed to survive.Famous battle cry that came from this battle was "Remember the Alamo".

    Issued because of the Mier y Teran report. The law of April 6, 1830 is to stop immigration from United states to Texas, there couldnt be anymore empresario land grants, no new slaves could be brought to texas, land grants would only be given to Mexican and Europea settlers , a tax , or custom dutymust be paid on all trade goods from the U.S, and soldiers would be sent into Texas to enforce these laws.

    The twin sisters were a pair of cannons controlled by the Texas army.The battle took place in San Jacinto. The battle lasted only 18 minutes. A Mexican army was fighting against Santa Anna and his men.Later, Santa Anna surrendered and was captured and taken to the general Sam Houston.

    This treaty are documents that ended all battles. The publicly known treaty said that Mexican soldiers would withdraw. Mexican and Texas prisoners would be equal and land would be given back. The secret treaty said that Santa Anna would make mexico restore Texas' independence and make Rio grande the border. Mexico refused the treaties. The treaty of velasco ended the revolution. Texas was independent.
