This was a document written primarily by Thomas Jefferson. This document was created after the Second Continental Congress meet. During the second Continental Congress meet they had a debate, in which of course they had voted to be free. This vote was passed and it was the "break letter" from America to British. -

British surrender at Yorktown
The British surrendered at Yorktown due to suffering of a disease and refused to fight. this action caused the Revolutionary War to end. Causing to win the great war. -
Treaty of Paris
The treaty of Paris had ended the French and Indian war. Also ending the seven year war between Great Britain and France. Along with this treaty, France had given up all of its territories in North America. This effectively ended all foreign military threats to the British colonies there.
