    The sugar act is when the minister put taxes on the sugar to raise money. Worthern merchants did not like this law. It became a major issue.

    Quartering Act
    Colonist are required to provide living space for british troops. They are also required to help them if needed. Citizens saw this as an attack on their rights.

  • Boston Port act

    The act that declares and ssures Great Britains Jurisdiction. Colonist saw this as a unjustice to their rights.

  • Townshed acts

    Brutal shooting lead parliment to pass townshed acts. These acts were asking for taxes on almost everything. Many colonist did not like this act.

    This was a streetfight the crowd of people threw snowballs at guards. The soldiers fired into the crowd. This introduced the idea of commitees of correspondence.

    Parliment passed a tea Act, To help others who were struggling with the british company. December 16, 1773 ships arrived in the Boston Harbor. British were disguised as indians and they dumped all the tea into the ocean in order to show their anger. Since this happened the british decided to increase laws and force them on the people more.

    King George II wanted to take action against colonies. Gage planned a suprise attack. 700 British troops crossed the river. In result to this the Revolutionary war started.
