French and Indian War
The War between the British and the French along with their Native allies had just ended. The War was fought to see who would have the most power in North America. The war had lasted 7 years and is also know as the seven years war. -
Proclamation of 1763
Pontiac had just sieged Detroit and killed many soldiers and colonist before he was killed. The colonist had planned to move west ward and expand but England did not agree with this idea. England had told the colonist they could not move west ward. England’s response for this was they were trying to prevent conflict between the Natives and the colonies. The colonist understood where England was coming from bid they had felt as if their rights that they earned to expand were taken from them
