Treaty of Paris 1763
Treaty ended the French and Indian War. The British now has control of the Ohio River Valley. -

100 Bostonians disguised as Indians got on the ships and dumped 342 chests of tea into the harbor. -

First Continental Congress 1774
Met in Philadelphia. 12 out of the 13 colonies sent 55 men each, Georgia did not. -

Battle of Bunker Hill 1775
The American forces learned that the British were planning on taking over the hills around Boston in order to gain a tactical advantage. -

Stated that the British Parliaments taxing authority was the same in America as in Great Britain. -
Declaration of Independence 1776
Settlement declaring freedom of the Thirteen Colonies from Great Britain. -
Battle of Trenton 1776
Washington recrossed the Delaware River and captured 1,000 Hessians. -
Siege of Yorktown 1781
Cornwallis surrendered to George Washington as French and American forces trapped the British at Yorktown. The British surrender at the Battle of Yorktown and ended the American Revolutionary War.
