    This led to the Civil War because it aslo led to the Fugitiv Slave Law, which the Northerners did want to do

    Wanted all citizens of the US to help return runaway slaves, regardless of their legality in certain states
    This led to the Civil War because the people of the North were forced to return any runaway slave, and they wanted nothing to do with that at all

    Publication of "Uncle Tom's Cabin" Novel
    Uncle Tom's Cabin was the best selling novels in mainly the Northern states.
    This novel resulted in more people in the North becoming abolitionists, while the South assumes that a war will come over slavery
    This was an aspect of the Civil War because is created more encouragment of the North wanting to abolish slavery, while the South disagrees entirely.

    The Republican Party was created to as opposed to the expansion of slavery. Which made the party successful in North, however not very popular to the South.

    Dred Scott was a slave who attempted to sue his slaveowner for his freedom, claiming that he was to be a free man, who was in a free state, according to the Missouri Compromise. However, he ended up losing the case.
    This was an aspect of the Civil War because it created even more tension and anger between the North and South

    Territories were created in Nebraska and Kansas, which opened the opportunity for people to settle in the new land(s).
    The white settlers had the decision of whether or not the land(s) would have slavery
    This was an aspect leading to the Civil War because this act reversed he Missouri Compromise of 1850, whichstrictly prohibited slavery in certain places.

    The name was created portraying the violence between the people who were Anti and Pro Salvery.

    John Brown's Raid at Harper's Ferry
    Abolitionist John Brown decided to lead a revolt on slavery on the South, by invading the US arsenal which is at Harper's Ferry. This ended up failing, which also resulted in the execution of John Brown.
    This ended up arising the tensions for war increase.

    The election of 1860 resulted in Abraham Lincoln winning the election. He stated that he wishes to not continue any further with the expansion of slavery, which ofcourse, the south did not agree with.
