British troops marched from Boston, Massachusetts to Concord, New Hampshire in order to capture rebel leaders Samuel Adams and John Hancock and take hidden weapons. The colonists won after the Bristish surrendered due to intense fire.

It was an official act taken by all 13 American colonies in declaring independence from British rule. It declared independence from the British rule. The Declaration of Independence was signed by Congress including Thomas Jefferson, Benjamin Franklin, and John Adams and Sam Adams.
