Creation of Farming

10,000 BCE

Farming was discovered around 12 thousand years ago and is the main back bone of the early civilizations in this time period. People started to build around these farmlands and created the first societies. Farming is still used heavily in today's society's Aswell.

Neolithic era

Period: 10,000 BCE to 1700 BCE

The neolithic era is when humans started to settle down and stopped with the nomadic ways. Humans figured out the methods of farming and used them to create civilizations in river valleys. With all this sitting around humans now could start to think, invent and explore.

Hinduism

8000 BCE

Hinduism believes that everything and everyone are parts of god. Your soul is eternal and carries on into the next life.

Sumerians

4500 BCE

The Sumerians were credited with being the first urban population in the world. They also have one of the earliest forms of written language in cuneiform. Along with that we know that had the understanding of basic mathematics.

Lower Egypt

3500 BCE

Lower Eygpt is located on the northern river delta of Eygpt. The most famous city in this area is the Aceint city of Memphis. Memphis was the old capital of Eygpt.

Upper Egypt

3100 BCE

Upper Egypt is known for its early dynasty period where there Pharoh's all spaded from the same blood line. They had some monumental achievements like creating the pyramids of Giza.

Creation of the pyramids of Giza

2575 BCE

Arguably the most famous monuments in the world. The pyramids of Giza are the burial sites of old pharaohs who have passed on to the next life. The biggest pyramid is built for Khufu the second king in the 4th dynasty of eygpt.

Akkadians

2330 BCE

This was a hostile early civilization who owned majority of the Mesopotamia. Akkadians are well known for their innovations in architecture, as they created beautiful monuments and structures. Things like temples and other religious structures were also very prominent

Middle Egypt

2050 BCE

This is the time in Egypt where the entire civilization was all united under one common group of Pharoh's. Ciro was one of the most prominent cities in this Kingdom. The creation of the middle kingdom also created a time period where the arts began to flourish.

Babylonians

1890 BCE

The Babylonians are credited with creating order in the scattered city-states of Mesopotamia. There also known for their major advancements in astrology. Along with the creation of the hanging gardens.

Creation of Hammurabi code

1750 BCE

The Hammurabi Code was a legal text that was created to set the law into stone. This Babylonian text sets the standard for a large majority of Mesopotamia. There are 282 laws in the text

Shang Dynasty

1600 BCE

The Shang dynasty arose from the ashes of the Civil war in China. Some achievements include the oracle bone writing and the creation of a massive canal system to unite China. Along with these the dynasty ruled with strong leaders in the city of Yin.

The Hitties

1600 BCE

This group established an empire centered in modern-day Turkey and parts of Syria and Iraq. There most notable achievement was their use of iron weapons. They also used cuneiform writing.

The Phoenicians

1500 BCE

This was a big sea trading civilization and the first of its kind. This group used Advanced trade routes to help them get around the seas. There also credited with creating one of the first alphabets.

King Tut becomes the Pharoh

1323 BCE

King tuts affects in his position were largely uneventful. The reason he is so popular is due to his tomb being in nearly perfect condition as it was discovered in 1922 CE. King Tut was on the throne when he was 8 or 9 years old and died around 18 years of age.

Start of the Zhou Dynasty

1046 BCE

The Zhou dynasty was the first major dynasty we knew of in China. They are also known for their advancement in farming creating iron plows. The Zhou also created 3 early forms of government Confucianism, Daoism, and legalism.

Jerusalem

1000 BCE

Jerusalem is the capital city in Israel. Most prominently it was ruled by king David as he established the city to be the center of spirituality. Along with this they created Solomen's temple in 957 BCE.

Creation of Confucianism

600 BCE

Confucianism was created as a self-led idea to better a society. It focused on ethics and morality of a society. this type of government was created by Confucius.

Daoism

600 BCE

Daoism was created with the idea of good coexisting with bad. The natural cycle of life is supposed to be the backbone of this ideal.

The Buddha was Enlightened

528 BCE

The Buddha sat under the Bodhi tree and became enlightened. He told everyone they could be saved and have everlasting life in Nirvana.
