Patricians and Plebians Under Etruscan Rule
Both the higher Romans class, the patricians, and the lower class, the plebians, were under Etruscan rule. -
Equality
The plebians and patricians have equal rights. Plebians can now pass laws, become councls, reject laws, and become Senators; just as the patricians could. -
The Plebians Rebel
The plebians were very mad over their lack of power, so they left the city and refused to work, throwing Rome into chaos. -
The Patricians Create a Republic
A group of patricians led by Lucius Junius Brutus rebelled against the last Etruscan king, and successfully overthrew him. In place of monarchy, they formed a republic.
