    The Treaty of Versailles was a meeting developed by ¨the big four¨ aka France, Italy, England, and the United States. It was created to end World War 1 because of Germany's contribution to the war, they were France's and Britain's main target. The results included, new nations being created, Germany was forced to pay reparations, loose land, limit their military, and admit to war guilt which made them the most furious out of everything.

    Italy and Germany had the idea of a political ideology called fascism, which is known as complete extreme nationalism. Mussolini created the fascist government in Italy, known as ¨Il Duce¨.

    Mein Kampf was an autobiography published by Adolf Hitler. It was an exact blueprint of how he was going to try and take over Europe in 1939. It was written while he was sitting in the Landsberg prison after being convicted of treason. The first part goes over the problems be settling Germany, and the second part focuses on national socialism.

    Hitler was not immediately appointed after the success in the 1932 election even though he was the leader of the nazi party. It took economic and political instability and two more chancellors failing to stabilize the situation and convince Hindenberg to appoint Hitler. By Hitler becoming chancellor this meant the Nazis were now in power.

    The Night of Long Knives, also known as the Röhm Putsch, was the purge of the leadership and other political opponents from the 30th of June, 1934 to the 2nd of July 1934. This was carried out primarily by the SS and the Gestapo, over 150 people were murdered and hundreds more were arrested.

The Italians committed countless crimes against the African state like, poisonous gas, aerial bombardment, flame throwers, and concentration camps all being employed.

    The reason for Japan invading China was the need for raw materials to uplift the growing industries. Japan controlled lots of China and committed many war crimes against the Chinese. 20 million Chinese died and 480,000 Japanese soldiers were killed on Chinese ground. Japan took the victory because of how prepared they were for the war.

    This was one of the many ways the Japanese tried to aggressively expand their military. To summarize this is up, it was basically a big contest to see who could kill the most people, in total they killed 300,000 plus men, women, and children. They also raped about 20,000 women including children and the elderly. this ended in more Chinese being killed than Jews in the holocaust.

    The Pact of Steel was a political and military alliance that was agreed on by Germany and Italy. Mussolini came up with the name but also used the metaphor ¨axis¨ and that's why they're called the ¨Axis powers¨. They made this alliance to instead of acting in unison, they would react to the other military. Japan eventually became the third constituent of the triad.

    by signing the Tripartite Pact, Germany, Italy, and France became allies. It provided mutual assistance and protection. This alliance was aimed at neutral America. which was designed to force the US to think twice before venturing in on the side of the Allies.
