Concord
The British found an empty arsenal. Then had a thing with the minutemen. The British were going to go back to Boston but then a slaughter happened where 3 to 4 thousands of minutemen assembled and fired on the British. Many British were killed. -
Battle Of Bunker Hill
Thomas Gage attacked militiamen at Breed’s Hill. He sent 2,400 British soldiers up the hill. The colonists didn’t wait till the last minute to fire on them. The colonists lost 450 men. The British had 1,000 of their men dead. This was known as the deadliest battle of the war. -
New York
August and September of 1776, right after the formal declaration of the colonies’ independence.Then New York City was the center of it all. Both sides believed that if the British took control of New York and the Hudson River the American resistance would likely collapse. -

Saratoga
John Burgoyne was waiting to meet with British officers but didn’t know that they were stuck up in Philadelphia. And tons of colonial men surrounded him and made him surrender. This turned out to be one of the most important events of the war. With that happening the french decided to have alliance with the Americans because they felt they were going to win the war. -
