Proclamation of 1763
Closed the oppertunity for the colonnist to move west of the Appalachain. Colonists we very upset after gaining all that land and not being able to use it. -
Boston Massacre
The Boston Massacre was when a protesting crowd of colonists confronted the british because they were fed up with the taxation laws. They were shot at while attacking the British troops, this started the revloutionary war. -
Boston Tea Party
Colonist dumped tea into the boston harbor to protest the taxes on tea. -
Lexington and Concord
Paul Revere, Willaim Dawes, and Dr. Ssamuel prescott rode through Lexington and Concord saying that the Regulars (British) were coming. This was a major event leading up to the war. -
Fort Ticonderoga
Was the first victory in the Revolutionary war and gave the americans some much needed and valuable supplys. Located on Lake Champlian. -
Battle of bunker hill
The battle actually took place mostly on Breeds Hill. Although the british won they were heavily wounded. -
Dorchester heights
They heavily fortofied the building, soon the british would realize that the frotress was inpenatribal and they retreated. -
Olive branch patition
Final attempt to avoid a full blow war between the British and Colonists. -
Publishing of Common Sense
Tomas Paine published a book hilighting the bad things that the british were doing. This allowed the public to see the truth behind the British. -
Declaration of independence
Declares independence form Britain, showed britatin that it was on like donkey knog. Or they said that they were ready to fight for their freedom. -
Trenton
The battle took place in trenton New Jersey and only lasted a few minutes before the soldiers at Trenton were captured by George Washington's army. -
Princeton
Another victory for the Colonist. After the Milita retreated George Washington showed up with rienforcements and squanderd the British. -
Saratoga
The contenintail army captured the British defenses after 2 battle over a 9 day period. Very important victory. -
Valley Fordge
A long harsh winter devistated and killed many troops, but for those who suvrived they came together as one. -
Yorktown
It was a British victory but the colonist heavily dammged the british forces, with lead to the Treaty of Paris. -
Treaty of Paris
THe British signed a treaty releasing the 8,000 british soldiers, and declared americas indepndence.
