  • American Revolution

    The American Revolution was one of the first revolutions that was had. The Americans wanted to be free and independent form the British government, and eventually they won.
  • French Revolution

    This is a continutity showing the continiuing revolutions happening across the globe. The middle class wanted to gain control after the nations has fell into financial troubles, and they sucessfully managed to kill off their King Louis XVI. Became more for liberty and equality
  • Haitian Revolution

    This is more continuity in terms of continutity and also enlightenment ideas being the cause of revoltution. The people of haiti lead by Toussaint Louverture and Jean-Jacques Dessalines got their indepedence from France
  • War of Independence Latin America

    This is another continutity due to it being another revolt caused by the influence of englightenment ideas. Here Mexico among other countries become free and indepedent.
  • War of Greek Indepedence

    This continutity of revolts is the Greeks trying to fight for their indepedence from the Ottoman Empire, again with enlightenment encouragement and aid from Russia England and France among other countries helped bring Greek to their indepedence.
  • The Opium Wars

    This is a change out of all of this because this war started because that European wanted an upperhand in Asian trade. Opium caused many problems. China eventally got rid of the opium and signed a peace treaty with Britain
  • Taiping Revolution

    This is a continutity in that this is a revolution, however this was not inspired by enlightenment ideas. The Qing dynasty was fought against in this revolution for many social reforms
  • Crimean War

    The continutity of course was that this was a revolt, war and yet the reason for this is not englightenment.A conflict between the Russian Empire v.s. the French, English, Ottomans, and Sardinia.
  • Sepoy Rebellion

    This is more continutity due to it being a rebellion. This was India versus British, and Indian people didn't appreciate British rule. The East India Company was dissolved and Indians could have their own administration, but with British head ruler
  • Boxer's Rebellion

    This was once again continutity in China for rebellion. Here China was going against the Chinese christans and other foreigneers. The government was also split between encouragement of western ideas or conservatism.
