Lexington Revolutionary War
On April 18, 1775 the Colonist started to march in the state of Boston. The Colonist stopped in Lexington where they had 70 minutemen waiting on the village green. April 19, one of the soldiers shot but no one who it was, their were 8 minutemen shot to death and 10 were injured. This revolutionary war lasted 15 minutes. -
Concord Revolutionary War
The British men arrived to Concored and found no weapons. The had a fast fight and it quickly became a massive amount of men killed. There was about 3000-4000 men who gathered together and started to shoot the marching troops that were behind stone walls and trees. The British soldiers that survived left back to boston. -
Bunker Hill Revolutionary War
The day of July 17, 1775 Thomas Gage had sent 24hundred British soldiers to fight with Canker Hill. This revolutionary went on and 450 of the Colonist men were killed meanwhile the British men had 1,000. This battle had the most deaths in that time period. The month of July came and the Second Continental Congress was already preparing another war, while everyone else were hoping for harmony. -
New York Revolutionary War
The year of 1776 the British tried to take over New York and came with 32,000 soldiers, thousands of Germans and employed some people that were called Hessians. The Continental; Army who tried to protect New York in August they were retiring. Later in the fall The British people started to move Washington's army over to the Delaware river in Pennsylvania. -
Trenton Revolutionary War
Washington endangered everything in his hands just because he wanted victory and sent 24 hundred of his men the Christmas of 1776 to Trenton, New Jersey. These men got there in rowboats to conquer the militia of Hessians without them knowing. The British took no time to regather their men in the month of September 1777, and was able to win the American capital at Philadelphia. -
Saratoga Revolutionary War
The American men got to Saratoga on October 17, 1777, the most important event. The French helped out the Patriots in the 1776, Saratoga victory strengthen France thinking that the American could win the war between them. In 1778 the French had signed to join with The American in February and their fight. This revolutionary took place in Paris, Washington. He send food and supplies over to his men even though more than 2,000 of his men died and the ones who lived did not abandoned them. -
Valley Forge Revolutionary War
In the year of 1778, in the middle of the icy winter at Valley Forge. The American armed forces started this spectacular change. Friedrich von Steuben helped the Continental Army be better for themselves. -
Marquis de Lafayette Revolutionary War
In the year of 1778 they were winning the war, but also the Marquis de Lafayette got their to provide their help. Lafayette advocated France for French argumentation in 1779. -
Philadelphia Revolutionary War
In 1781 the congress found an a wealthy Philadelphia marketer who was named Robert Morris as superintendent finance. Robert Morris found ways to raise money for his city. When most of the men were sent of to war their wives had to take their place in farming and taking care of the household meanwhile doing their job at the house as well. A massive amount of slaves were able to free themselves during this war, a amount of 5,00 African Americans were in the Continental Army. -
Yorktown Revolutionary War
Early 1781, the Colonist had plenty of losts but still continued their battles to be able to take Carolinas. The British then fought Virginia, led 7,500 in the peninsula in the middle of James and York rivers and landed at Yorktown. The Cornwallis decided to straighten Yorktown, overpower Virginia and progressed north to bind Clinton’s Forces. Late September, 17,000 American and French armed forces encircled the British that were in Yorktown Peninsula and started to bomb them all day. -
Treaty of Paris Revolutionary War
In 1782 Paris was starting to look for peace. The American men who made the agreements consisted of John Adams, John Jay of New York and Benjamin Franklin. In the year of 1783, these men decided to sign the Treaty of Paris. The Treaty of Paris consisted of the independence of the United states and set the partition of the new nation. The United States now is from the Atlantic Ocean to the Mississippi River, also from Canada to the Florida Border.
