Benedict Arnold created a small militia from Massachusetts teamed up wth Ethan Allen and the green mountain boys they snuck in during the night and took the fort and cannon and brought the cannon to the revolution cause. -
Lexington and concord
Pual Revere rode through the night to warn the American militias at Lexington that the British were coming. At Lexington the Minutemen and the British were facing each other where the shot heard round the world happened. the British won and a few people were killed on both sides. -
Bunker hill
The battle of bunker hill took place with the British rushing up bunker hill to try and either take the hill or force the Americans to retreat. It took the british 3 tries to succsessfully get up the hill because the americans started to run out of ammunition. -
Long Island
Long island was not really a battle more of a game of strategy washingtons forces were stuck on Long island and knew he could not win so at night he kept the fires burning and got everyone and everything out. -
Quebec
Benedict Arnold led an attack on Quebec in order to help the American cause in Canada and was the first major defeat for the Americans about 400 Americans were wounded killed or captured and very few British were harmed befor the american were within distance of muscket the british bombarded them with cannon fire. -
Fort Washington
fort Washington in northern new york came under siege by 3,000 Hessians and 5,000 redcoats they took the fort by the afternoon around 3,000 patriots were taken prisoner 53 were dead and 96 were wounded. -
Trenton
Washington crossed the Delaware river and made a sneak attack on Trenton and around 1,400 Hessians and surrendered almost immediately 22 were killed 92 were wounded the rest surrendered or deserted on the American side 2 froze to death and 5 were wounded. -
Brandywine
on the road linking Baltimore and Philly the Americans were posted and surrounded by 18,000 British troops the colonial army had to retreat and lost many of their horses and cannon 1,100 americans were killed or wounded and 600 british were killed or wounded -
