    The French and the British were fighting over control of the ohio river valley. The war lasted 9 years and cost the British a lot of money. The British won but were in significant debt. to pay off the debt, they started taxing the colonists, sparking the first dispute between the colonies and the crown

    The Stamp Act was when the British were in debt because of the war. The British needed to pay for their debt so in result they started taxing the American colonies
  • Townshed Act

    The Townshend Act was a series of mesument passed by the British Parliament in 1767. They started imposing taxes on paper, glass, lead, paint, and tea.
  • Boston Massacre

    Tention had been escalating between the colonist and the British because of the townshed acts. A mob had formed to confront the British troops in Boston, they started throwing thing at the soldiers. Finally the soldiers felt threatened and they stated shooting at the mob of colonists

    The Boston Tea Party was when the colony was tired of the British taxes. The colonists got a group of protests and made their way to the dock to dump over 300 chests of tea in retaliation for the taxes imposed on them. After the Boston Tea Party the British Parliament passed some laws in 1774 known as the Intoerable Act. The laws were made to punish the colony of Massachusetts. The laws were the Boston Port Act, Massachusetts Government Act, Impartial Admin of Justice Act, & Quartering Act.

    It was the first fight of the American Revolution.The Britidh troops were sent out to get the colonils wepons,but the colonies fought back because they were already prepeared. The british ened up running away. The british saw this as the start of the war.

    The battle of Bunker Hill took place in the early stages of the American Revolution.The colonist forces found out that the british troops were going to try and take control of the hill. The colonist started to prepare for the british troop,the British eventullay won but the damaged that the colonist had caused was impressive they had wounded and killed 1000 British Troops. Even though the British tecnically won,the battle showed that the colonial forces could stand up to the trained British amy

    Battles of Trenton and Princeton
    The battle of Trenton is when George Washington led a surprise attack on hessiab soldiers. The Americans ended up winning and capturing nearly 1000 hessian soldiers. The battle of Princeton was after the Trenton war George led the troops to Princeton. The Americans beat the British forces. The second win made the British retreat and it gave the Americans. These battles were important because the American spirit got revied and they gained confidence.

    Valley Forge is where George Wasington's army was camping in the winter from 1777 through 1778. Many of the soldiers suffered from cold, hunger, and sickness. George Washington was training for the American Revolution George wasinton wanted to make the army stronger and better.
  • Treaty of Paris

    Treaty of Paris
    The Treaty of Paris ended the American revolution. The treaty was signed on September 3, 1783. Britain recognized the United States as an independent nation. The treaty also set new borders extending from the Atlantic Ocean to the Mississippi River and Canada to Florida. Americas also gained fishing rights off the coast of Canada. The treaty officially ended British control in America.
