The Treaty of Paris
The Treaty of Paris marked the end of the French and Indian war. It was very harsh towards the French and made it so that the English owned all their land on North America. -
Proclomation of 1763
A proclomation that made it so that English settlers weren't allowed to go West and settle. This made English Settlers very mad. -
The Stamp Act
The Stamp Act was passed by the British and it said that all American Colonists had to pay tax on printed paper. It angered the American colonies. -
Sam Adams
He was a major figure in fighting things like the Stamp Act. -
The Quartering Act
This act made it so British Soldiers could go into anyone's house and request aid, food and take up room and board. This made the Colonists angry. -
Townshend Act
The Townshend act were a bunch of taxes intended to raise revenue for the British Empire ansd keep stricter control on the Colonies trade. -
Boston Massacre
Provoked British Soldiers fired on a rowdy group of Patriots who were throwing rocks and sticks. John Adams defended the British in court and they were later aquitted. -

The defendent for the British Soldiers that fired shots on the Colonists. -
Boston Tea Party
The colonists got mad because the British kept the tax on tea. Because of this they went to the Shipyard dressed as Mohawk Indians and threw a boatload of tea overboard and into the harbor. -
The Sons of Liberty
The Sons of Liberty organized and executed the Boston Tea Party. -
Loyalists
They were pro-British Colonists against the tea party and the revolutuionists at the time. -
Patriots
The Patriots were the people that were against Britain and were for making a country for themselves and a having a Revolution. They were also very against Britsh Taxes. -

Continental Congress
The Continental Congress was a group of deligates elected by the Colonies. They were the Congress and local leaders of British Colonies. -

Abigail Adams was the wife of John Adams and she helped influence some of his decisions. -
Lexington and Concord
Paul Revere road and told the towns that the British Army was coming. The British fired upon the colonists and the war began. -

The Midnight Ride of Paul Revere warned the peiople that the British were coming. -

A pamphlet written by Thomas Payne that inspired the people to break away from the British. -

The Declaration of Independence was where the American Colonists declared their Indepence from the British. Its main authors were Thomas Jefferson, Benjamin Franklin and John Adams. -

The wife of George Washington who influenced his decisions and was a Patriot. -

The turning point in the Revolution. This battle was a huge loss for the British. -

General Washinton was the U.S. Army leading General. He won the Battle of Saratoga which was a huge turning point in the war. -
The Battle of Yorktown
The end of the Revolutionary War. General Cornwallis surrendered to General Washington. -

He surrendered to Washington at the Battle of Yorktown. -
The Second Treaty of Paris
This peace treaty marked the end of the American Revolution. -

Benedict Arnold was a well known General who switched to the British Side. At this point he had already switched.
