    The French and Indian War, most known as the seven years war lasted from 1754 to 1763 and became an even larger war when it spread to the European continent where the french fought with the natives in a war against the British.
  • Quartering Act

    Quartering Act
    The Quartering Act was forced upon the colonists in 1765 when the British soldiers arrived to protect the colonists from the Natives where then, colonies were expected to pay taxes for, the British soldier's housing and house them in their homes. The British government thought it was best for the colonists to help pay, which was what the colonists were most opposed to.
  • Boston Massacre

    Boston Massacre
    The Boston Massacre was the effect of the stamp act, a riot that took a deadly turn as 9 British soldiers marched by and were confronted by a crowd of colonists who then insulted and threatened them, the soldiers then shot into the crowd and killed several colonists.
  • Boston Tea Party & Intolerable Act

    Boston Tea Party & Intolerable Act
    The Intolerable Act was a movement that let the British pass these acts as punishment for the Boston Tea Party Act. The Tea Party Act was caused nothing less than by the result of taxation without representation leading to the protest of dumping 342 chests of tea, imported by the British.

    The British were on the hunt for colonists who were against the king. British groups then entered their town and fired at their captain and 8 of his men as the rest scattered. British then took over.

    The Declaration of Independence was a statement of the declaration of independence from England. The Declaration showed the colonist's motivations for seeking independence which took place in July of 1776.
  • Battles of Trenton and Princeton

    Battles of Trenton and Princeton
    George Washington's army took over and won the battle against the British in the battle of Trenton but sometime later came back and tried luring the British forces to the south, then made a march to capture Prinston later changing the morale of both the army and the country.

    As Gorge Washington lead the Americans and French troops, Cornwallis surended as he was surrounded and accepted his defeat and gave up Yorktown. Gorge Washington then took the victory in The War Of Independence.

    The Treaty of Paris was an act ending the American revolution and recognized the United States as an independent nation, marking the end of a war.
