French and Indian War
The British won the French and Indian war, but along with it a huge amount of taxes needed to be paid. The British looked towards the colonists to pay the huge debt, this was the first early signs of rebels and tensions. -
Stamp Act
British taxed Colonists on all papers and official documents but not in England. The British taxed the Colonists to raise money. -
The Boston massacre
British soldiers open fire on unarmed civilians because of verbal and physical abuse from the crowd of people, about 3 to 4 hundred people were doing it. -
Bunker hill
The Americans lost this battle but along with it rose more confidence and motivation from the colonists for the next battle. -
Declaration of Independence
An agreement with all 13 Colonies that contain 3 Sections, the natural rights theory and purpose of government, independence from England, resentment against the King. -
Valley Forge
Washington's army camped for the winter at Valley forge, it was the most cruel unsanitary place there was. Most soldiers were lost with no hope and struggled to survive with decease spreading. After winter rose a stronger and more motivated army. -
Battle of Saratoga
This battle had the most significance in the war because this war was a turning point for the Rebels. They defeated the British army and brought more confidence for a chance for freedom. -
Battle of York Town
This was the final battle and a new beginning for the colonists, after the British surrendered the Colonist became the United States. -
Treaty of Paris
The treaty of Paris was a peace treaty for the British and United States of America. It was signed by the Representatives of King Charles the third and by the United States of America. After the treaty was sign American revolution ended and the war ended, Americans got their freedom and independence.
