The East India Company was now allowed to sell tea directly to the colonists. -
Boston Tea Party
Colonists disgusied as natives snuck onto three ships and dumped all of the tea. -
Battle of Lexington and Concord
800 Redcoats were sent to Lexington and Concord to get the weopons hidden there and capture traitors. The American colonists were warned by Paul Reveere and others and were able to move the weopons and prepare to fight. -
Battle of Bunker Hill
The colonists fortified Breeds hill instead of Bunker Hill and fought of two attacks from the British before losing the third. -
Battle of New York
General Howe defeated Washington and forced him to retreat to New Jersy. -
Signing of the Declaration of Independance
The continetal congress finally agrees to sign the Declaration to send to the king. -
Battle of Trenton
The soldiers marched through the snow and had their first great victory when they attacked th Hessian while they were sleeping. -
Battle of Princeton
Followed the Battle of Trenton and Washington rallied the troops and forced the British out. -
Battle of Saratoga
The greatest victory yet and the turning point in the revolution because after we won France and Spain joined the war to help us.
