The British general tried to come up with a plan to take over the American colonies so he slit his group into two along the hudson river. When the Americans caught up to them they started harrasing them and that started slowing then down, which was causing then to run out of food. The gerneral ordered some british troops to head there way down to Vermont and when they did the Americans were there and captured 500 British troops. -

Philadelphia was considered the headquarters of the revolutionary war. When the Americans got there first they got hold of all the supplies before the British arrived, they even took the liberty bell so the British troops were unable to create bullets from it. -

Valley Forge was a camp site for the Americans. General Washington decided to stay there because it was close to Philadephia and that's where the british was campling at. He wanted to keep a close eye out for them. About 2,500 men died there because it was too cold and many were dying because of dieseases. -
