Paul Revere and other warned the country side in time of the british movement. Which helped set up a deadly ambush which forced the british to retreat. This caused the colonists, to be enemies of britain.

    A siege kicked into gear by british general Thomas Gage. He sent 2,400 troops on an uphill battle in Breed's hill to assault the militiamen. They held they're fire against the british until they retreated. The militia suffered 450 casualties, while the british where in the thousand's. Proving to be one of the war's deadliest battles.

    The british to not let themselves be isolated by the rebellion, they quickly seized new york city, forcing the colonial troops to retreat, due to poor training, and poor equipment. And by late fall the british pushed all his troops to the Delaware river. But commander George Washington who was desperate for an early victory. Organized 2,400 men, and led them through the Delaware river, where they marched to they're primary objective -Trenton, New Jersey.

    The two battles in Saratoga were a major turning point in the American Revolution. British general John Burgoyne achieved a victory over American forces. Though his force was weakened. Burgoyne ordered an attack on Bemis heights, where he was defeated and was forced to retreat. He then surrendered, impressing the French to join the cause of the Americans.

    After getting information of Cornwallis's actions, Washington and Lafayette move south toward Yorktown. While a french naval ship defeated a regiment of british navy. And blocked entry into america. Lafayette and Washington troops, surrounded the british on the Yorktown peninsula. And after a month of bombardment the cornwallis finally surrendered.
