Yorktown is in Virginia, but the battle sorta ended the Revolutionary War. With the help of the French, the colonists surrounded the British at Yorktown on land and water and forced the British army to surrender. -
Treaty of Paris
Ended war between Great Britian and the United States signed on September 3rd. It officially ended the American Revolution, and Great Britain recognized Americas independence.
