A Battle by the Hudson River when the Americans cut off the British route. This was a major victory for the Americans because this was when the French finally decided to help the AMericans. They decided to help because they realized the Americans actually have a chance to win the war. -
Winter at Valley Forge
Although there were no battles many Americans died here. It was a vary harsh winter. It started on december 19th 1777 and ended January 19th 1778. At Valley Forge the Americans trained and were taught well how to fight and how to win. -
The Battle at Yorktown
The battle was a very important one for the Americans. Although they had just lost in the south they still managed to force the British into Yorktown. Here French armies and navies surrounded yorktown along with the Americans. The British then became weak and they surrendered the war causing AMerica to at last win.
