Battle of Yorktown
Washington moved south, they encountered the British and trapped them along the coast. Both the British and colonists wanted control over the Charleston River. This very important because it was the last battle of the war. The colonists win this war. -
The Treaty of Paris
Britain, Spain, France and the colonists sign a peace treaty in Paris, France. Britain decided not to keep the colonists because of all the trouble it is causing. British divided the land in North America, Britain recieved Canada and the colonists recieved everything east of the Mississippi River.
