Brittish Suffer severe losses and leave the Boston Area -

The intention of this attack was to bring the Canadians to the Patriots side. -
Middle: Battle of Long Island
The British won. Continental Army escapes without being noticed overnight- this is unheard of. It was the first large-scaled battle of the Revolutionary war. The two commanding officers were, George Washington and William Howe.
