Lexington and Concord was the battle with the colonist against Britain. The colonies thought Britain was taxing them alot. The militia was alerted by a man and they prepared for battle. The colonists were outnumbered and lost to the British, and they continued to Concord. At concord, the colonist hid their belongings, but the british soon found them and did alot of damage to Concord. The Patriots were sad and were losin, util the minutemen came.#itson -
Firsrt- Bunker Hill

It was a battle with 1,200 colonist and 2,000 British soldiers and the british attacked in the morning. They were battlign against each other, and the colonist seemed to be winning, until they ran out of ammunition and had to fall back and it was considered a British win. #itsnotmyfaultweranoutofammo -

There were two battles. The first was militia sgarpshooters were harassing the british, and then more of the militia forced the british into battle. The 2nd battle was a battle with the the British and German vs. Patriots. The colonist, and it was a very crucial battle for them to win. #allwedoiswin -

Articles of Confederation
The Articles of Confederation was written documents that told what the government of the newly independent colonies. It said things like, there will be no army, no taxes, and no executive branch because they didn't want to have a thing to do with Britain. But they relized how bad of an idea their government was, so they got rid of it and replaced it with the Constitution. -

Low- Valley Forge
Valley Forge
In the Fall, many Patriots started marching south of New Jersery, led by Gorge Washington. They created a camp at Valley Forge, and would find them selves stuck in blizzards, with only 1 of every 3 men had shoes. No one had the resources to survive the winter, so many people left, because they could not handle the weather. There was no battle, but the Americans had lost so.. -
Low- Valley Forge

Last- Yorktown

General Washington led 17,000 french and patriot troopsto Yorkton. They faced 9,000 british soldiers. The colonist were winning, and the Bristish surrendered and ended the war. Weeks later they were signing the treaty and the war for independence was over. #independenceswag -

Treaty if Paris
The purpose of the treaty of Paris was to officially make the 13 colonies an independent nation. It was signed by Benjamin Franklin, John Jay, Henry Laurens, and John Adams who represented the Americans, and David Hartley and Richard Oswald signed for Britain. It was then ratified in America on January 14, 1784.
