Locke was a philosopher, He didn't have a side in the Revolution, however he inspired the ideas that founded this country and he more than likely would have been a patriot. He believed in Life, Liberty, and property. Locke died on October 28, 1704 -
Ben Franklin
Ben Franklin was a patriot who helped the American Revolution. He was Governor of Virgina and a very esteemed statesman at the time who helped by writing letters using pen names and fuleing the fire of Ameirca. He died on April 17, 1790. -
George Washington
George Washington was a humble leader and patriot during the American Revolution. He led the Rebel forces during the Revolution and served as the first President of the USA. He died on December 14, 1799. -
Thomas Paine
Thomas Paine was a patriot who helped fuel the fire of the American Revolution. He was the writter of many things but his famous work was Common Sense which was meant to be able to appeal to every man. This helped lead the revolt. Paine died on June 8,1809. -
Thomas Jefferson
Thomsas Jefferson was a patriot who helped the American Revolution greatly. He was a key writer in the Decleration of Independence. He later because the 3rd POTUS and died on July 4, 1826. -

Boston Tea Party
This was done in Boston as a protest of the indirect tax the colinist were enduring due to Great Brittian's monarch. The Sons of Liberty led a group out to dump the tea in the harbor to prove a point. -

Every colony except for Georgia sent delagates to this converntion. This is how you see our government start to from and people are really pissed of at out King across the world. So this is were the idea of a revolution and spliting up comes about. This happend in Philidelipa and was held util October 26th. -
Lexington and Concord
The first battle of the American Revolution. It was the shot heard around the world. The Brittish won but it showed the Patriots were serious. -
Bunker Hill
Bunker Hill was a battle where the Patriot's lost however they gave great wounds to the Brittish forces and it showed them more skilled and they became more confident. -

Primarily written by Thomas Jefferson, it was the "offical break up letter" from the patriots to Brittian. It alluded to the ideas philosopher John Locke had and spoke of idea like God given freedoms. -
Battle of Trenton
The Battle of Trenton was very important becuase it was a Colonial victory and showed great war skills from General Washington, They snuck in in the night and triumphed. -

This was a Colonial victory, It was so important because this was really like the tuning point for the Americans that made others realize they could win this war. -
Valley Forge
Valley Forge is where the Americans stayed during the winter of 1777-1778. It was very harsh and they were being beat down. General Washington was leading thm but they were hurt. They lost man soldiers that winter because the extreme conditoons led to death. This hurt them a lot but caused people to want to help. They stay there ended on June 18, 1778 -
Battle of Yorktown
Yorktown was probably the most relieveing for the Americans out of all that happened in the revolution. This was an American victory that led to the surrender of Lord Cornwallis and made way for negaotiations on the Treaty of Paris.
