    1754-1763,(seven years war) Major George leads small group into ohio to capture french fort Duquesne, they retreated and built fort necessity as a result. defeated by french and american and returned to VA. The battles consisted of the french capturing ontario and lake George, Frances natives allies raided and William pitt helps turn tide, they make peace. A surprise attack on quebec was led by James Wolfe. Treaty of paris

    France lost Canadian colonies and claims to land east of the mississippi river. England got all french territory in Canada, Florida, and rights to Caribbean slave trade. Spain got french territory west of the mississippi river and new orleans.

    Forbidden settlers to advance beyond the appalachian mountains. It allowed England to control westward expansion, it would be on british terms, so it was a bit of a "check" towards the colonial government. Most indian tribes likes the line. It failed though and was a minimal effect on limited colonial expansion.
