  • Largest dam in the world

    Largest dam in the world
Three Gorges dam is the largest dam in the entire world. It is in Sandouping , Yiling and Hubei China. It capability of producing 22,500 megawatts but only runs only around 45% capacity. It is also a gravity dam. This is relevant because this produces a lot of electricity and a lot of it doesn't go to use. It produces a lot more than wind and solar power but is also a lot more expensive which is inconvenient because it probably won't go to full capacity.
  • Worlds largest wind turbine

    Worlds largest wind turbine
V164 8MW turbine is one of the largest wind turbines in the world, its located off the coast of the U.K. It can produce 8 megawatt of electricity. This is important because it produces an unheard amount of electricity, but if we continue to develop it this could be a small amount of electricity
  • Worlds largest solar plant

    Worlds largest solar plant
The worlds largest solar plant is in desert center California near Joshua tree notional park. It can produce 550 megawatts. It is relevant because we took out a 1.5 billion loan to build it and that means it's not the money that's the problem with clean energy but people's want for it
  • Any direction solar panels

    Any direction solar panels
Scientists are developing solar cells which could collect sunlight from any angle, therefore the people who use solar energy will no longer gave to worry about which way to face the solar panels or rotation of the panels themselves
  • U.S. Senate expected to take microgrid policy

U.S. Senate expected to take microgrid policy
The plan is for microgrid stop start in Alaska and then after it's been proven to work it'll start to work its way down to the lower 48 as an article stated. A microgrid is defined as small-scale power grid that can operate independently or in conjunction with the area's main electrical grid. Any small-scale localized station with its own power resources, generation and loads and definable boundaries. This is relevant because America is starting to think about clean energy.
  • Germany closes nuclear power plants

    Germany closes nuclear power plants
Germany has to decided to close all nuclear power plants and switch to renewable energy by 2022. This is relevant because a country is taking the first steps to a green way of living
