    The Crusades

    Battle of Civetot

    It was fought between the Seljuk forces of the Sultanate of Rum and the People's Crusade. Seljuk numbered around 5,000 while 20,000 for the Crusades. A large number dies on the battlefield only a few thousand survived.

    Siege of Damascus

    The Zengid came upon the Crusader army and attacked. Crusaders retreated which result in the Crusaders defeat.

    Siege of Acre

    It was a counterattack from the Crusader forces after losing Jerusalem to Saladin. The Siege was a major victory to the Crusaders for them to secure the surrender of the city to gain control of it.

    The Bubonic Plague arrived through the trading ships coming from the black sea. Once people realized the illness came from the ships they tried to expel themselves from the port but by that time the disease already spread.

    The painting was a commissioned by a rich Italian Merchant. He wanted a portrait of his wife, Lisa in their new home.

    Balboa led an expedition across the Isthmus of Panama. Later that same month he climbed a mountain peak and sighted the Pacific Ocean.

    The Armada was difficult to attack with it sailing in a crescent shape. Their ship was being blown northwards and the English claimed victory.
