St Vincent De Paul was ordained as a priest in 1600 at the age of 19. He was a priest for the wealthy and powerful but later on he decided to preach instead to the poor who couldn't afford to have a good religious life. -
Nano Nagle
Nano Nagle opened 7 schools for poor children in Ireland. She also helped to look after the sick and poor women. She preached the bible to the children in her schools and was a strong woman of faith. -

Elizabeth Seton founded the Sisters of Charity of St. Joseph's which was the first American religious community for women. Elizabeth Seton was also the very first American canonised as a saint. -
Catherine McAuley
Catherine McAuley dedicated her life to helping the poor. She opened a house of mercy which was used to educate the poor children. This education was especially for poor women. -
Mary MacKillop
Mary MacKillop was the first Australian saint. She strived to give education to underprivileged children, she even went as far as making a Josephite school out of an old stable which was free of charge. Mary MacKillop also helped the poor, ill, homeless, and elderly.
