(lasted to May of 1693) Puritans prosecuted those who they thought had witchcraft in Massachusettes. You were forced to believe or act a certain way. -
First Amendment was made
No decisons or laws could be based off of religion. It gave the freedom of speech. -
In God We Trust
Law passed that the United States motto is "In God We Trust"... We are all supposed to believe in God.
