In 1939 Josef's father gets taken by the German Nazis to a concentration camp. -

He later returns to the family but is no longer the same man has he was before. The family then boards a ship to Cuba to find a new home safe from German Nazis. -
becoming a man (8 days from home)
he finally becomes a men doing the synagogue but his father was in a such bad state that he didn't want to go. -
funeral (11 days from home)
A man dies and even in his state Josef's father goes to the funeral there some Germany people put a Nazi flag in the cage where was the body. Josef dad raged and insult them. -

goodbye (from 14 days to 36 days)
when they get to Cuba they reject them after that they go to USA where they do a check about all the passengers there Josef lie to his dad so they can pass the check after that the Nazis his father bother take revenge and because of all that Josef father breaks he jumps and want to die in the water but he is saved after that they are forced to leave him behind at a mental hospital. Then they went back to Europe and get distributed to some country's they ended up in France. -

They got caught and Josef sacrificed so her sister could live.
