Emma Willard created a boarding school for girl to educate them since they were not treated the same way men were. Its original name was Troy Female Seminary but it is now also known as the Emma Willard school. -

The 13th Amendment
The 13th Amendment to the United States Constitution officially abolished and continues to prohibit slavery and deems is unconstitutional. Abraham Lincoln and other Republicans were the ones to pass this amendment because they felt it needed to be done since the Emancipation Proclamation did not free any slaves. -

The 18th amendment to the United States Constitution banned the manufacture, sale, and transportation of alcohol. It was later repealed by the 21st amendment in 1933. It is the only amendment to ever be repealed. -
