  • Freedmen Bureau

    Here the Freedman Bureau was formed. This was to aid to the newly freed population in the South.

  • Ku Klux Klan

    This group was founded during the start of the reconstruction after the Civil War. This clan was against the right for the Southern population to all be free.

  • first African American Senate seat holder

    Hiram Revels was the first African American to every have a seat in the Senate. He was well liked by people after the reconstruction was finishing and everything was coming together.

  • Radical Republican

    A faction of the Republican party that sought to impose a harsh reconstruction over the previous Confederate states. These people were supportive about the newly freed population from the South.
