    End of Civil War ( Appomattox)
    It was the Final engagment of the Confederate States Army . Robert E. Lee made an attack to break through the Union . He had no choice but to surrender.
  • Abraham Lincoln Assassinated

    Abraham Lincoln Assassinated
    At Ford's Theatre in Washington , John W. Booth shot President Lincoln. Lincoln later died , and John W. Booth was soon captured and killed . Lincoln died right across the street from the Theatre at the Peterson's Home.

    The Consitution formally declared that slavery was abolished in the U.S . All slaves were later freed . It also outlawed involuntary servitude, and freed 10 Confederate states.

    This Amendment gave everyone born in the U.S their abilities and rights . It prohibited states and local governments to ensure fairness and liberty. It provides equal protection to all people .

    He was the first African American Bishop in the South. He started the A.M.E. churches. His saying was " I Claim Rights For Man".

    This Amendment gave the U.S the voting right to vote regardless of the race . As well as the persons previous status as a slave. It made everyone have equal rights to vote .

    At first Georgia was against the 15th Amendment. It finally rejoined in 1870. It was hesitant to rejoin. But , soon it did.
