    The Freedmen's Bureau was created March 3rd, 1865 and was a Bureau of refugees. freemen, and abandoned lands. Their goal was to provide relief for southerners both black and white. The Freedmen's Bureau was the first large scale relief organization that provided food, clothing, fuel, and medical services, job and family location.

    After The Civil War ends on April 9th 1865 reconstruction starts which is a period of time after The Civil War ends and the nation becomes reunited and the south needs rebuilding. Even after The Civil War ended their was still slavery in the border states.

    Reconstruction acts only gave the vote to blacks in the south. No citizen could be denied the right to vote based upon Race, color, and or previous condition of Servitude. The 15th Amendment was passed by Congress on February 26, 1869, and ratified in 1870 on the third day of February.
