    Black codes
    The Black Codes were laws created in the south to help maintain the new freed African Americans. Some of the laws said that African Americans could not own or rent farm land. The laws also help white people easily take over African Americans.
  • 14th amendment

    The 14th amendment gives rights to all people born in the united states rights. And that no state shall enforce a law on you that takes away your freedom. Unless they have gone against the law . Even if you are a Afriacan American or a different race.
  • Civil Rights Act of 1866

    The law was passed to try and protect the rights African Americans. The law gave Federal Goverment rigths to get involeed in state affairs to help African Americans rights. Also let Africans Americans have citizenship.

    This law required all southern states to form new goverments. this act divided the states into five millitary based districts. Every district had to be governed by a army general. Until the new goverments were created. Also the states had to create a new constsitution. The second reconstruction act gave the army the right to register voters. This helped to organize state constitutional conventions.

    The 15th amendment was created in 1869 as one lof the huge step took to help the recontruction. This amendment gave the right s to citizens of the United States to vote. No matter what color, race, or previous condition of servitude. This helped African Americans to help protect themself from unfair treatment from whitw people.
