    Civil Rights Act of 1866
    The Civil Rights Act of 1866 was made to protect ex-slaves from the legislation in the Southern states from Black Codes and the vagrancy Laws.

    The Freedman´s Bureau
    The Freedman´s Bureau was like an organization that helped both black and white refugees in the South, they supplied food, clothing, healthcare, and an education. Not only did The Freedman´s Bureau give food and clothing etc. they reunited families that were separated during slavery auction; they would also help laborers negotiate their contracts with white slave owners; lastly, they help represent African-American in court.

    President Lincoln was attending a play in Ford´s Theatre he was watching it from the Presidential Box with his wife Mary and two other guests, during there was a big joke and at that point, John Wilkes Booth entered the Presidential Box and shot President Lincoln in the back of the head, he was taken to William Petersen´s boarding house right across the street there were several doctors but not any were able to help him.

    The Reconstruction ended once the United States pulled troops from the South and the state finally took over, after 12 years of reconstruction the country is finally on its feet and running .
