    I began to read my native language in kindergarten because Spanish was my native language.

    In second grade I used to go to another classroom with other ELL students to read and work on vocabulary.

    In this year I was exited from small groups and from leaving my classroom to be full day in a general education class.

    I was continued to read English but I was not considered a proficient reader.
  • 8th Grade

    I was pulled out for small groups and had a class that only required to read and answer questions.
  • 10th Grade

    10th Grade
    I was exited once more from the Reading Intervention class.
  • 12 Grade

    12 Grade
    I was able to pass my reading, writing and math proficiency test. If I did not pass these state test I would not have the opportunity of graduating.

    Why I Now Love to Read
    Knowing the genre of what I enjoy reading motivates me to read. I have learned though the years that reading is knowledge and power. I also know that by reading you learn new things. Reading is understanding, comprehension, having imagination and much more.
