In my early years of school, I learned to read and understand basic vocabulary -

With basic vocabulary comprehension I read easy books such as the Dr. Suess ones -
Late Elementary
As my vocabulary grew, so did my comprehension when reading. -
The Magic Treehouse
With a higher comprehension, I was able to read slightly more advanced books such as Magic Treehouse. -
Middle School
In middle school, I really didn’t enjoy reading. -
8th Grade Honors
Advanced English classes pushed my understanding and encouraged me to be more analytical when reading. -
Dork Diaries
For my required reading, I would read Dork Diaries because it was easy and simple. -
High School
In high school, I had to endlessly read textbooks which made me lean toward fictional drama when reading in my free time -
College
When I entered college, I read more historical contexts and had to learn to break them down. -
University
When I started to attend this University, I had to learn how to critically view primary sources.
