    Schafer wrote and published his first book entitled "Ezra Pound and Music". This was just the beginning of his writing career, he wrote many books and music and is considered one of the great contirbutors in musical knowledge.

    This piece was composed from January to Ocober of 1976. It was made to show the rhythm of the breaking and backwash of waves on the coasts of Canada. He won the first Jules Léger Prize in 1978. The prize was made to get Canadian composers to write chamber music and to build the Canadian music scene.

The city the guy and girl lives in sends children and women to a labyrinth to be sacrifices for the minotaur. BUT, this time the guy kills the minotaur, the girl falls in love with the guy and the guy finds someone else to be with. AND in the end, the girl finds the god Bacchus and falls in love with.
